Great food. Burgers are top notch, fries are very tasty. Jalapeño poppers are perfect and the oreo shake is a must. Service and atmosphere rated lower at no fault of the person serving me. As it was dinner time and seeing only one person on the floor to take orders, money and also prepare the food. As well that individual is probably required to clean the grill, fryers, lobby, tables, bathrooms every floor and every garbage at the end of the night. It is astonishing to me how the owner of this place only has one person working. If the owner reads this review you should always have a minimum of two people working at all times. Not only for the customers to have good service but also for the employees to be able to work safely. Employees have the right to have breaks and your customers deserve to get good service. For a place with amazing food stop hurting your employees. I could see the stress on your employees face when 6 people were in the restaurant at the same time. Do better. My rating for the food is 5 stars, but your disrespect for your employees needs to end.

Burgers are GREAT!!!!! So happy they have a gluten free bun option. Though not impressed the last time I ordered the bottom of the bun was so hard, I could have used it to hammer nails. Was inedible! If you go in and get EJ he is Great! He is friendly and makes a great burger! Anyone else gives attitude and is rude, and will give you stale food. Wont order unless EJ is working.

Don't order online or check it before you leave. Didn't have cheese selected, can't eat cheese, paid 80$ for the order including tip. Tossed the cheese covered burger in the garbage and had cold fries for dinner

20 dollar chicken burger that's paper thin terrible customer service rude front desk asked how much for a milkshake and told me about seven dollars had to explain I needed a total with the chicken burger included and server was acting like I was making him do extra work then it took roughly 45 minutes to produce the order at which time my milkshake had completely melted I'll definitely never eat here again

I think that sams grills food is good but my favorite part is always the service! The staff is always polite and punctual, especially E.J. They are always sweet and they dont fool around and waste time which is a big pet peeve of mine. Would recommend!

Sam’a Grill Burgers and Poutine in Oakville is one of those spots that leaves you with mixed feelings. On the one hand, if you’re looking for top-quality burgers and poutines, it may not be the best place in town to satisfy that craving. The overall taste and quality of the menu could definitely be improved, especially if you’re comparing it with other burger joints in the area. That being said, the experience wasn’t entirely disappointing, as there are still some positives that stand out. The staff at Sam’a Grill were very pleasant and welcoming. From the moment I walked in, the employee made sure I felt taken care of, which really adds to the overall dining experience. It’s always nice when the people behind the counter are polite and attentive, and that definitely made my visit more enjoyable. In terms of the food, while the poutine didn’t quite meet my expectations, I have to admit their Nashville Hot Chicken Burger was a highlight. It had the right balance of spice, crunch, and flavor that made it stand out from the rest of the menu. For that burger alone, I could see myself giving them another try in the future.

I was initially drawn to Sam's Grill by their appealing online presence. However, my dining experience was somewhat underwhelming. While the restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly, the burgers fell short of expectations. The patties were thinner than anticipated and a bit dry. The abundant processed cheese and well-placed onions were a positive, but the iceberg lettuce would have been a better choice. The additional toppings were limited in selection and average in quality. The fries were also average. While Sam's Grill offers a better burger experience than fast-food chains, it doesn't quite match the quality of higher-end burger joints like Five Guys or Burgers Priest.

Tried their pulled pork sandwich/burger many days ago and while it was good, I've had a few better ones. Maybe it's just not good when delivered , as the sauce inside makes the burger become soggy, so will give it a try again in store if I can.

Came to Cambridge from Windsor to watch my brothers football game and decided to stop by. I got a small pulled pork poutine for around $13. The portions were excellent with plenty of pulled pork and gravy. My only complaint is that the accessibility washroom was a little nasty, but that’s a price I’m willing to pay for such delicious poutine. I’ll be making sure to come back here anytime I’m in Cambridge!

So we've been going to this location for quite a while and have always have great service and food, but we went last Tuesday july 14th and we walked in, 1 of the workers was sitting in a booth on her phone, probably on break and we stood there for a good 5 mins before she went and got someone to serve us, the food was ok, not great and the milkshakes were just chocolate milk. After spending $45 on 2 burgers, 1 fry and 2 milkshakes you would hope it tatse great and come with great service but no. Not sure what happened to this location but we wont be back. It was great at one time, they greeted you with smiles and hellos, not anymore.

I would give it better stars, but the ceiling in the dining room area has a lot of dirt in it and it hasn’t been cleaned in 4 years!! Why do customers need to sit underneath the dirty ceiling.

We ate-in at this location and the restaurant was clean, well decorated, and plenty of seating. The customer service was friendly from the staff the second we walked into the building all the way through to them bringing our tray to our table. The food was tasty, Cooked to perfection, and topped the way we liked it. We had two regular cheeseburger combos and upgraded to the milkshakes! A little pricey for two people, but worth it as a treat!

I ordered their fresh-cut fries and fiesta poppers, and I just wanted to say they were amazing! Hands down some of the best and crispiest fries I’ve ever had from a fast-food restaurant. The fiesta poppers were also delicious. Definitely a great experience!!

Just got our first order from them today. I ordered combo #4 (double patty burger and poutine) the burger was amazing and routine had a nice thick gravy and cheese curds. I also seen a promo for vegetarian gravy for those who have a specific diet. My hubby ordered the donair and he said he really enjoyed it. Then we got the milk shakes and enjoyed that too! Great new addition to the north thank you for great and very quick service!

This place is top tier, it taste like Timmins poutine did 20 years ago! Fries crispy, gravy tasty, cheese is actually good cheese! Service is awesome, the place is clean and slick looking. They got solid prices, and great deals on Uber! Highly recommend!!

This location is clean and well taken care of as compared to other fast food restaurants. We ordered the combo 4 and combo 2 for dinner and it was really good. The beef patties were well done and juicy. The chicken patty was also really good and it was a nice big piece of chicken I was full half way through it. Will definitely want to try the other menu options when we are in Timmins next time.

Welcome to Sam's Grill in Hearst Ontario Canada. I went twice in 2 days, opening day and the very next day lol, it's good! Fast friendly service, good food, good portion sizes. We'll definitely be going back again. The donair would have gotten a higher score but I didn't like how sweet the sauce was (just my opinion) but the meat portion was generous and it had good flavor and it was tender, it was good, just the sauce threw me off a bit. The chicken burger had a very generous piece of chicken on it, although i felt it needed more toppings like the lettuce onions mayo ect. The Montréal Smoked Meat On Rye would have gotten a higher score as well, it was packed high with Meat and had loads of flavor and the meat was tender, but the rye bread wasn't toasted, so even though I ate it fresh right there, the bread was soggy, so it lost points for that. But the star of the show by far, out of all the things I've tried so far was the butter chicken poutine, It was awesome! And everyone in my family that tried it said the same thing! I wish them nothing but success, and i will be seeing them again soon!

The service was impeccable ; our server Hinal & Umang was knowledgeable about the menu and ensured we were well taken care of without being overbearing and The food is where this place truly shines. Sysco food cooked randomly and slowly in a hot little restaurant without AC but with plenty of flies already... Bun not toasted, one patty medium rare, one paddy well done.. upcharges on the 'signature' for cheese and bacon.... There's a delivery of potatoes sitting in the heat in the middle if the floor where the public can touch them... I had to take my drink out if a cooler of cold water... who else has had their hands in that water? Low effort restaurant... all image and no substance... I will give them a month to srt themselves out and then try again... Given the disappointed looks from the rest of the people here, the 5 star reviews are likely bought... if you want them to seem more authentic, don't include pictures from a month ago of a restaurants food that opened a few days ago... come on... at least try...

My first impression could have been better. I wanted a chicken burger and a mango smoothie which neither were available. The fact that the bevrages are in ices coolers on the floor didnt quite impress me either. I hope there will be room for improvement as the food looked delicious.

Forgot to take pictures. Very good experience. The regular burger was a perfect size for us. Even though its 2 patties, its not over filling. We liked the burger better than the chicken burger. Fries were very good as well. We liked how everything was customizable. No set toppings youre stuck with or have to aks not to include or pick off. Our order came out very quickly.

19.50$ for a snack and a can of pop? Crazy. Straight up ripoff. Figured a regular poutine was comparable to a regular size literally anywhere else. Menu photos look much larger than the provided cat bowl. Price to portion size is a joke. Really light on the cheese and gravy, the last 1/3 was just dry fries. Picture scale - I wear a medium glove. lol.

Good staff and tasty burgers ,staff was patient while I chose my order, which I appreciated. But it was insanely hot inside; the AC clearly isn’t working, staff are sweating by the grills, and I couldn’t even sit and eat. I had to go back to my car. Owners need to fix that instead of just printing bills.And for a fact iknow it’s been like this for a long time.

Well today, my wife and I decide to give Sam Grill a try for the very first time. As we saw the place as we were driving thru Waterloo as we were originally heading to Burger King, but I can tell you , I am so happy we stop at Sam Grill in Waterloo. Customer service was amazing and the restaurant was in amazing shape and very clean and very nice. We were greeted by a nice gentleman as we entered the restaurant and he served us the whole way thru and brought our food to our table. My wife ordered a Hot Dog with Bacon, cheese and mustard and relish and fries and pop. I ordered a burger with bacon and mustard and onion and with fries and pop, we also ordered an order of battered mushrooms. All the food was fresh and hot and very tasty. We will definitely be a repeat customer for Sam’s Grill Waterloo.

Sam's Grill in Waterloo recently opened up and the food is great. Hamburgers are homemade and fresh,many types of poutine to try. Prices are reasonable. It only takes 5 minutes to prepare and you can dine in, take out or delivery. The place is bright and has 2 televisions.

I went to the Guelph location a few years ago, and it was definitely NOT memorable. So I was a little hesitant when my husband suggested trying this place yesterday. However, I'm glad we went. Super friendly staff, and a very clean, welcoming environment. The menu boasted a Donair, and I was sold. It was delicious, as well as the onion rings, and poutine.😅 We were too hungry when we got home that I forgot to take food pics.🤷‍♀️ We will be back again though.

Great little place on the main road. Clean and bright when we walked in. The employees were friendly. They claimed to have Vegan food on their front doors but when asked it is only a burger, the veggie poutine has diary. They seemed a bit confused between vegetarian and vegan which concerned us a bit. We took a chance on the veggie burger. It was good. The fries were good. Maybe needed a bit more salt but it was a good lunch! I would go back.

Stopped by to try this Burlington restaurant this week after seeing a few social media advertisements. Food was decent, burger itself seemed fresh but overall portion sizes were a bit underwhelming. I had the burger poutine combo surprisingly not that many fries were in the box. The good, restaurant was clean, gentleman behind the counter was nice. The bad, the restaurant really need to have its kitchen exhaust looked at. Not sure but it either needs a good cleaning or it wasn't working. All you could smell when you walk in there is kitchen grease off the grill and deep fryer grease in the air. Based on the color of the fries and the taste, the deep fryer oil is also due to be changed. Atmosphere gets 2 stars because you end up leaving with the grease smells on your clothing after being in there. Restaurant was clean however the air quality wasnt.

The hot dog I just ate here was, quite truthfully, the VERY best hot dog I have ever had in my entire life!! Not only was it so tasty I ate it all despite being on meds that suppress my appetite, the service was also quick and the worker at the counter was patient and kind. My only complaint would be that the fries were lacklustre, but in comparison to the hot dog, what wouldn't be?? And I'm sure had I not just eaten one of the top five best meals of my life, the fries would've been delectable!! Sam's Grill, I will be back and I'm so very excited for that day!!

Hey guys, so this was my first trip to Sam’s Grill, and I have to say that we were pretty impressed. The restaurant inside was very clean and from what I could tell by looking behind the counter, they were also extremely clean and well kept. Only one girl was working the grill, but it was slow and she was helpful and she made an order fast. We got two pines and burger combo The pins we got were size smalls and they were still massive and my burger combo was decent.. . I still highly recommend I feel like the price point was fair for sure Go check it out if you haven’t already support these guys because I believe they’re worth it 🔥🔥

Wanted to try a new place tonight so we decided to order from Sam's Grill. I am politely giving 4 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ as my family was happy with the meal. It was a 3 for me at best. Family enjoyed the taters, cheese burger, bacon cheese burger and chicken fingers. Fries looked perfect in the pictures on Skip, however they are not similar. Potato's are not peeled to make these fries- game changer for me! Ordered specifically as the fries and poutine looked amazing... Not great! Hot dog was decent a little dry as cheese and all the toppings were hiding behind the dog!

The burgers are amazing! They're just like your own backyard burgers, homemade patties, fresh lettuce, tomatoes and onions. The poutine is delicious, but the portions are huge, so if you order both, you'll need a friend to share it with.

Great burger with homecut fries at a very reasonable price. Their regular burger comes with 2 patties, if you order the regular combo I believe it was $16. You get your 2 patty burger, homecut fries and drink, I also added gravy to my order. The burger was brought out hot and juicy, fries were also hot and crispy. Was very impressed with the quality of food. If you're in the area definitely worth checking out.

Everything was okay. Pretty much on par with the Sam's Grill we went to in hearst, so that's a good thing, consistency is key. The only different things I tried was the plain fries and the pulled Pork on a bun. The fries were lacking any type of seasoning and because of that they weren't my favorite, and the pulled Pork was okay, the flavor wasn't too bad, there just wasn't much too it, it was a little lack luster for me, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. But still worth a visit, make sure to stop in and give them a taste, and judge for yourself!

As everyone else on these reviews say, its fresh and its clean! Gravy is made in store, No powdered garbage here my friends! The patties and fries are made per order, nothing blanched, no added spices. Just pure clean Beef, the trueway to enjoy a burger. Salt and pepper are available at the front counter. The prices are good for Ontario, our food prices may be gone to heck right now but they serve a nice juicy burger and poutine for under $20. Me and my family went very close to closing time but the Owner seemed very enthusiastic about serving us nonetheless, you don't get that in most places! If you want a good, clean burger, this is the place, if you want a charred greasy breadcum and spice stuffed burger, Try somewhere rated less than Sam's Grill. Lol

We stopped in for our first visit and I have to admit... We are disappointed we hadn't been here sooner. My chicken burger and fries were possibly the best I have ever had. Full of flavor and juicy for every bite. Fries were crispy and I was happy to find malt vinegar was offered for them. The burger and poutine combo was incredible also. Possibly the best burger in our area for the simplicity of it's ingredients. Double burger with cheese and bacon... Nothing fancy and it holds its own with good, fresh flavors. The poutine was full of cheese and awesome gravy... Great portion size as well. We will eat the donairs later or tomorrow... The meals were super filling. The staff is beyond friendly and are willing to make sure you are fully satisfied with your meal. They really want you to appreciate what you are paying for. We will be back to try more of their items.

Very disappointing experience at Sam’s Grill. When I walked in, there was no greeting or welcoming attitude. I felt uncomfortable because I had some documents in my hand and it seemed like I was being judged, as if I was only there to drop off a resume. The front staff member who took my order immediately went back to using her phone and did not check on my order, ask if everything was okay, or even say thank you. When I picked up my order from the counter, I looked at the fries because they were clearly not right, and she asked, “What happened?” instead of addressing the issue professionally. The fries were unacceptable — unpeeled, burnt on the outside, raw inside, and I had to throw away more than half. Overall, the food quality and customer service were very disappointing. I hope they improve both.

Phenomenal food, incredibly friendly staff, and unbelievably good value for your dollar. We had delicious poutine and burgers, all gluten-free, hot, and very yummy! Staff made sure we were looked after. The burgers are made with patties made in-store and the butter chicken poutine is out of this world! Hot, tasty and savory. Biting into these burgers is a total 10/10 experience: it's clear the staff works to make the food high quality, and to improve on perfection, even! A new style of cooking the patties has dropped this month, and it is delightful
